The Green Yard
Houseplants make fabulous gifts and The Green Yard has a great variety of houseplants for every budget and every plant lover. Most of our plants are easy care so you can guarantee your friends will be able to keep them thriving. We also have some decorative pots at good prices to complete your gift.
If you're looking for something less, erm, planty, we can help there too. In our gift shop we have something for everyone. Whether it be stocking fillers for the kids or something special for a loved one, we have all sorts of lovely things. Need a something for a bookworm? We have a small but beautiful collection of reference and non-fiction. Something to keep out the chill? What about a big fluffy scarf, or some fabulous locally knitted wristwarmers? Do you have a stationery addict on your hands? We have some really special notebooks and some unusual pens. If your mum/uncle/big sister loves a bit of needlework, we have lovely embroidery kits and some handmade yarn bowls for the knitters and crocheters. And we have a lovely selection of jewellery at a range of price points for that special person.

We now have a gift and homewares section at The Green Yard, selling a selection of handpicked items, perfect for gifting or for treating yourself.
We source our ranges mainly through small independent producers, many of them local designers, artists and makers. And when we say local, some of them live within walking distance of the shop! We are so lucky to share our community with so many creative and talented individuals, and we love to showcase their work.
